Big Bear Lake: Nestled high in the San Bernardino Mountains, snow & boarding in the winter Mt Biking in the summer. Plenty of XC riding to do but the main attraction has always been the chair lift at Snow Summit Ski Resort. Many years’ home to Downhill and XC Racing now restricted to lift access for National Forest Trails. Still lots of beautiful trails to ride with the chairlift still loading bikes up to 6” of wheel travel. Great option to take your friends that don’t stay in shape and still want to get some amazing riding in. Angeles Oaks/ Santa Ana Rim Trail off the 38 on the way up to Big Bear is another gem to checkout in those daunting summer months. No chairlift there so bring your buddies that ride regularly to this one.
